This gorgeous home in Lake Tahoe CA utilized several different types of stone to create a truly warm and inviting kitchen atmosphere. The project began with picking the right stone for the job. The countertops are made of granite slabs that have been honed to remove any sheen. Additionally, we finished them off with straight-cut edges to complete the contemporary look.
To accent the charcoal grey of the countertops we utilized pale blue glass tiles with metal to compliment the brushed steel appliances.
Lastly the floor was set, made of large travertine stone tiles in a staggered pattern. This tile was selected to keep the kitchen from looking to dark and instead would feel warm and inviting.
